Changes to Your Regular Service:
- No Yard Waste Pickup: The city won’t collect gray yard waste carts or bundles during Thanksgiving week.
- Recycle & Trash Collection: Your blue recycle carts and green trash carts, along with any paper yard waste bags, will be collected as usual.
Special Schedule Adjustments:
- Thanksgiving Closure: There will be no waste collection services on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
- Wednesday Special Pickup: If your waste is usually picked up on Thursdays or Fridays, mark your calendar for a special collection day on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Please set out your trash and recycle carts, plus any yard waste bags, by 4 p.m. on Tuesday to ensure collection.
Yard Waste Collection Heads-up:
- Our crews will do their best to collect all yard waste bags and bundles on Wednesday. If yours isn’t picked up, don’t worry! Just leave them out, and they’ll be taken care of the following week.
Businesses Note:
- Dumpster Services: If your business dumpsters (both landfill-bound and recycling) are usually serviced on Thursdays or Fridays, expect collection on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Monday and Tuesday services remain unchanged.
Facility Closures:
- The Haley Pike Waste Management Facility, Lexington Recycle Center, and Electronics Recycle Center will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 23, to Saturday, Nov. 25.
