Copperfield Tennis Courts

The Copperfield tennis courts were resurfaced, painted and sealed recently in 2016. To access the tennis courts, we do require a key.

Keys require a $20 deposit which will be refunded when the key is returned. The key can be returned at any time or kept as long as wanted. To request a key, please contact Stacy Salyer.

Copperfield Resident Tennis Rules:

  1. Tennis court access requires a key from the Clubhouse Manager. See Contact Info for contact information.
  2. Tennis courts are to be used for tennis only. No bicycles, skates, skateboards, in-line skates or other sports/activities allowed.
  3. 1 hour time limit for singles; 1.5 hour limit for doubles.
  4. All tennis court rules, regulations and courtesies shall be observed.
  5. No street shoes are allowed on court. Only tennis shoes may be worn.
  6. No pets are allowed on courts.
  7. Sitting, pushing or pulling on tennis nets is prohibited.
  8. Climbing on or under, hitting or kicking balls into or running into fences is prohibited.
  9. Parents/Guardians are responsible for any monetary damage caused by children.

Copperfield Neighborhood Procedures for Tennis Instructors/USTA Programming:

Instructors that would like to teach tennis at Copperfield must have the approval of both the Copperfield Facilities Board and the President of the Copperfield Neighborhood Association Board (CNA) prior to teaching.

Those individual(s) must…

  1. Be a resident in good standing of the Copperfield Neighborhood Association. All dues must be current.
  2. Be certified by either the USPTA or PTR governing bodies. Certification must be provided to the CNA board prior to teaching.
  3. Provide liability insurance. A copy must be provided in advance to the CNA Board.
  4. Have all students/guardians sign a waiver releasing CNA, its Board and Residents from any injury/liability while on court.
  5. Instructor must pay a nominal $5 per hour usage fee (paid monthly) to CNA, unless otherwise specified by the CNA.
  6. Abide by all tennis rules and courtesies as set forth by the CNA and posted on the courts.

Any violations of this procedure will result in termination of privileges to the Copperfield Neighborhood Facilities.
